Lacquer Porosity Apparatus
This equipment is specially designed for testing of the porosity of lacquer or wax which is internally coated on tubes as per ISI std.

The coated tube is filled with test-solution containing copper sulphate and copper electrode is immersed in this solution. The tube itself makes contact with the cathode and fixed small D.C. potential is then applied between the sliding top copper whose flow is proportional to the areas of the surface not covered by internal coating. In addition visual indication is provided by deposition of copper if coating is not continuous.

The equipment is capable of giving reading direct on LED display.

The equipment provides the required information quickly and reliably and is particularly suitable for quality control application.

Assembled in a mild steel cabinet of size 27.5 cm x 22.5 cm x 17.5 cm. Finished in powder coated paint. The equipment is suitable for 230V AC 50 Hz.

The Powder Density is specially designed to study the packing down of powder beds of different pharmaceuticals and chemicals powders, flakes, pellets, granules and other bulk substances. Powder Density is an essential test required in the process of tablet manufacturing, Capsule filling and cosmetic manufacturing.

The Powder density apparatus is equipped with Microcomputer Based 'LCD Display' System.
The "SWITCHES" are provided on the front panel of the apparatus for setting total number of strokes to the glass cylinders. Each stroke of the cylinder is displayed on the "LCD Display' window on the panel. The Up and down movement of the cylinders stop automatically at the Pre-set number.

The advantage of Micro-Computer based LCD Display over the Old type model with the mechanical Timer is that "Digital Display" of total strokes gives accurate and exact number of Strokes given to the cylinders. The Switches Can be set to any required strokes start right from minimum 1Stroke to 9999 strokes maximum.

Efficient, compact and light weight stirrer unit Tablet Dissolution Taster DR-8 is a rugged unit having eight test vessels and one vessel for replenishment medium. simple & easy to use controls. It is ideal for both R&D and routine quality control applications. The design of the unit has based on these features that the user, advised us as being essential to the ideal dissolution tester.

DR-8 has been specifically designed to reduce clutter and maximize visibility and access in the critical sampling area above the water bath particular emphasis has been placed on those factors affecting eccentricity, alignment and centering in order to reduce the number of the procedures to validate the machine.

The electronic speed control is provided with its micro-controller based stepper motor drive guarantees an accuracy (better than) of ± 2% by automatically check up and compensating for any drift from the preset speed twice every second. In DR-8 the temperature is controlled by means of an internal bath heater and circulation pump, which means that the unit can be quickly removed for maintenance without compromising the operation of the whole tester. The heater controller/circulation has an accuracy of better than ± 0.2°C thus ensuring a constant and even distribution of heat throughout the bath.The water bath is constructed such a way that the water inside the bath will be circulated properly without effecting the dissolution, to maintain even temperature all over the bath. The bath temperature can be constantly monitored using the PT 100 temperature probe provided for this purpose. An external probe is provided to monitor the temperature inside the test vessel. Provision is made for logging the actual speed, temperature and deviation with the set values, at user programmed intervals throughout the test for subsequent printing. The control is provided by a membrane keypad linked to blue backlit 20 x 4 LCD screen, which together with modular type electronics makes instrument easy to operate and easy to service. Many users have criticized the fact that their existing tester is just too overloaded with complex and unnecessary software gimmickry for day-to-day use. For this reason, considerable attention was given in the design to ensuring that the number of actions necessary to perform a test was kept to minimum. During the test the following information is shown on the display: Date, time, cycle no (step no)/ total no of cycles, nominal and actual RPM, temperature, present cycle duration and time elapsed. An audible alarm alerts the user that the cycle is completed and test is completed. The DR-8 is provided with a standard parallel printer connection for print out of test report comprising the date and time of the test start and end of the test, method used, serial no of the instrument, date of calibration together with the speed and temperature actual and set values at operator selectable time intervals during the test.

Campbell Electronics new Tablet Friability Testers are designed to replace the bulky, troublesome and expensive models in the market. Friabilator has now become an accepted standard throughout the pharmaceutical industry for determining the resistance of tablets to the abrasion and shock experienced in manufacturing, packing and shipping operations. Campbell Electronics friabilators FT-20 and FTA-20 are designed in accordance with the specifications as laid down in USP and other pharmacopoeia. The standard FT-20 operates at a constant speed of 25 RPM ±1. Can be used to run the test either one or two friability drums / one or two abrasion drums. These models can also be used with one friability drum and one abrasion drum for making comparisons between the two parameters under identical test conditions. Similar in construction to the FT-20, the friabilator FTA-20 differs only in having variable speed between 20 and 75 rpm and printer interface facility.

Pharma Chem’s portable digital hardness tester model HT-50 is designed to replace the non-digital, troublesome and expensive handheld hardness testers in the market. HT-50 allows measuring the hardness either in Kilo ponds, Newton, Strong Cobb or in Pounds.

Placing the sample and rotating the knob on lead screw manually, pressure will be applied to the sample. The increasing pressure is monitored electronically and the value is recognized, registered and displayed at the moment of breakage of the sample. The hardness value will be displayed on four digit LED display, same can be viewed in alternative units by simply pressing one soft membrane key on control panel.
